Commercial Kitchen Showrooms

A prominent London Kitchen company approached the Practice to help them with the interior design of their showroom headquarters based in the Norman Foster building in Battersea Riverside.

The brief was to exploit the display of their exceptional Italian kitchen and bathroom products so that they could be shown off to maximum affect. Great emphasis was placed on the layout and the materials used to create a striking modern interior compatible with their 'cool' public image. Lighting and air-conditioning also had to be carefully considered as well as the changes of level in the existing retail spaces. A dark resin floor was specified to bring calm and unity to the spaces.

 

Following this involvement the same client appointed the practice to design their Notting Hill branch

with similar objectives in mind. A mezzanine floor was inserted for separate office use by the sales and administration staff so that the whole retail space could be utilized. Exposed air-conditioning ducts were used to emphasis the functional beauty of the products on display.
